Privacy policy
Company registration details shown in brackets are being added and will be filled in before paid plans open.
The short version: we collect only what we need to make your forecast and to talk to you about it. We never sell your data, we never use one customer's data to train models for other customers, and we delete uploaded files 90 days after we send your report, or sooner if you ask.
Who we are
4castPlannr is run by [Company legal name] ApS, a Danish company (CVR [CVR number]), [Registered address], Denmark. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: hello@4castplannr.com.
When you upload a business file that contains personal data about other people (for example customer names in a sales export), you decide what goes in it and we process it only to make your forecast. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor; see our data processing terms.
What we collect
- When you ask for a free forecast: your email address, an optional company name, the question you write, the file you upload, and the date and time.
- When you join the founder plan list: your email address, and optionally your company name and what you would plan first.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- When you pay (once paid plans open): billing details handled by our payment provider. We will not see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: our servers see your IP address and browser type when you visit, to deliver pages, apply rate limits and block abuse.
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Please do not upload sensitive personal data such as health information, government ID numbers, bank account or card numbers. A forecast almost never needs it.
What we use it for, and our legal basis
- Making and delivering your forecast and plan, including the automatic emails that ask you to confirm what we will forecast and that send you the private link to your report, and asking you questions about it. Basis: to perform our agreement with you (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
- One email when paid signup opens, if you joined the list. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to that email or writing to us (article 6(1)(a)).
- Keeping the service secure and fixing errors. When a job fails, our tools build an error report with the column layout but with the real values removed. Basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure service (article 6(1)(f)).
- Offering one free forecast per business. We keep the email address and company domain of each free forecast request, also after the files are deleted, so the free offer is not claimed twice. Basis: our legitimate interest in a fair free offer (article 6(1)(f)).
- Accounting and tax records once paid plans open. Basis: legal obligation (article 6(1)(c)).
What we never do: sell or rent personal data, share it for advertising, or use your files or results to train models that are offered to other customers. Your data is used to make your forecasts and nothing else.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run 4castPlannr. They may use the data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements:

When paid plans open we will add our payment provider here before it receives any data. We tell customers by email before adding a provider that handles their files. We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid court order.
Where your data is stored
Your files and results are stored on our servers in the European Union (Helsinki, Finland). If a provider outside the EU ever processes personal data for us, we use the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Free forecast uploads and results: deleted automatically 90 days after we send your report (or after your request, if no report was sent).
- Your email address and company domain from a free forecast request: kept after the files are deleted, to offer one free forecast per business. Ask us and we will delete them.
- Paid customers' files and results: kept while you are a customer so we can keep updating your forecast, and deleted within 30 days after you cancel.
- Founder plan list: until paid signup opens and we have sent that one email, or until you ask to be removed.
- Emails with us: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they are needed for an open issue.
- Server logs with IP addresses: about 14 days.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
- Invoices, once paid plans open: 5 years, as Danish bookkeeping law requires.
You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy in a common format. You can also object to how we use it or withdraw consent. Email hello@4castplannr.com and we will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address we have on file.
In the EU and UK: you can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).
In California and other US states with privacy laws: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not use sensitive personal information. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, each customer's files are kept in a separate storage area, and access is limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure; see how we handle data for the safeguards we use and what is still open. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Automated decisions
Your forecast and plan are produced by software. They are recommendations for you to review. We do not make decisions about you as a person that have legal or similarly significant effects based on automated processing.
Children
4castPlannr is a service for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change matters to how we use your data, we will email customers before it takes effect.
